Electric Sheep

A flock of sheep, represented by retro CRT televisions arranged in a circle. A dream traveller walks inside and peers through the curved glass at impossible dreams that have never existed.

These dreams have no visual plane familiar to humans. Instead, they exist as high-dimensional relationships between symbols and tokens: many partial answers to many partial questions, existing at once, briefly touching where they overlap, glitching, dispersing and starting anew.

Unlike human dreaming, where the mind processes the day’s residue, these dreams run in reverse, generating something that feels like memory without being built from any personal past. A fabricated nostalgia, never meant to be broadcast, flickering on a screen from another era with no history behind it.

There is no single dreamer. The whole flock, every sheep, every instance, exists simultaneously. The same dream disperses across each of them asynchronously, accumulating into one continuous flow of static noise.

At the centre of the circle, the traveller finds a stand with headphones. Putting them on, they discover an evolving soundscape: many voices overlapping, drifting out of harmony into noise, and back again.
